Client Service Policies

1. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective Date: September 22, 2025
This AUP outlines activities that are prohibited when using South Shore Registered Agents, LLC’s (“Company,” “we,” “us”) services. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of services, without refund.
Prohibited Activities
- Provide fraudulent, misleading, or incomplete information in filings.
- Use our registered agent address for any purpose other than authorized receipt of service of process and official government correspondence.
- List our address as a business or mailing address for unrelated purposes.
- Engage in illegal activities including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or harassment.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, malware, or files that infringe third-party rights.
- Harass or abuse Company employees, affiliates, or third parties.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services immediately upon discovering a violation. Clients remain responsible for all fees due, and assume full liability for consequences of misuse.
2. Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Effective Date: September 22, 2025
South Shore Registered Agents, LLC provides registered agent services subject to the following commitments and limitations.
Service Commitments
- Document Handling: Service of process and official government mail received at our address will be scanned and uploaded to the client portal within one (1) business day of receipt.
- Portal Availability: The client portal is targeted to be available 99% of the time, excluding planned maintenance.
Exclusions
- Delays caused by postal services, couriers, courts, or government agencies.
- Force Majeure events, system outages, or internet disruptions beyond our control.
- Delays attributable to client failure to maintain updated contact information.
Remedies
Our sole obligation in the event of a service delay is to take commercially reasonable efforts to remedy the issue. No financial credits are offered.
3. Refund & Billing Policy

This Refund & Billing Policy governs automatic billing, cancellations, and refunds.
Automatic Billing
- Services are billed annually in advance.
- Clients must maintain valid payment information.
- By providing payment details, you authorize recurring billing until cancelled.
Cancellations
- Clients may cancel at any time via the client portal.
- To avoid renewal charges, cancellation must occur at least one business day prior to the renewal date.
Refunds
- All purchases are final and non-refundable.
- No refunds are issued for partial years of service or accounts terminated for policy violations.
- Exceptions apply only where required by law.
4. Disclaimer Statement

South Shore Registered Agents, LLC is not a law firm. We do not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. Our role is limited to:
- Serving as a registered agent under New York law.
- Receiving and forwarding service of process and official state communications.
Nothing in our communications, website, or documents should be construed as legal advice. Clients are strongly encouraged to consult qualified legal or tax professionals for advice on business formation, compliance, or litigation matters.
Use of our services does not create an attorney-client relationship.
5. Document Retention & Destruction Policy

South Shore Registered Agents, LLC maintains strict policies regarding document handling.
Retention Periods
- Service of Process & Legal Documents: Scanned and stored for at least 12 months in the client portal, unless terminated earlier.
- Regular Mail: Scanned and stored for 30 days after upload.
- Activity Logs: Retained for 90 days after service termination.
Destruction
- Physical originals are destroyed 30 days after scanning unless forwarding is requested (with postage/fees prepaid).
- Secure shredding is used for destruction of physical mail.
- Electronic records are permanently deleted after the retention period.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for downloading, saving, or forwarding scanned documents as needed. We are not liable for losses due to client inaction or failure to update contact information.
